Amazon Copyright and Trademark Infringement
If you believe that Amazon is listing a design of yours without your permission, please read the following to find out what steps you need to take to get the infringing product taken down.
Amazon Listings Guide
- If an Amazon listing has Zazzle listed as the store name, but has a different seller listed in the “sold and ship by” section, submit an infringement report and include the Zazzle trademark information (see below) in your report. You can state that the ASIN/seller is infringing on the Zazzle trademark as the product is not authentic.
- If an Amazon listing has a stolen design (neither the store name nor “sold and ship by” are Zazzle), email Amazon according to the instructions below or submit an infringement report here: https://www.amazon.com/report/infringement
- If an infringement report gets rejected, send your report and the rejection notification to Zazzle and we will forward this information to Amazon so they can better advise us (Zazzle and you) on how to submit infringement reports so they can be approved.
Amazon Counter Notices
If you send a copyright or trademark infringement report to Amazon, and the reported seller then sends an appeal to Amazon, you may receive what is known as a Counter Notice.
- If you receive an Amazon Counter Notice regarding copyright, no action is required on your behalf unless you would like to take legal action against the seller.
- If you receive an Amazon Counter Notice for a claim that includes the Zazzle trademark, email Zazzle at amazon.fraudlistings@zazzle.com and we will work with Amazon to get the infringing product taken down.
Instructions for contacting Amazon via email
Please use the following template when writing Amazon about copyright infringement:
Dear Amazon,
I am a Zazzle creator.
My name is ___________________.
Amazon can contact me via email at __________.
I understand that Amazon may share my name and my email with third-party sellers on Amazon who posted the content I want removed.
My Copyrights: I am the owner of the following copyrights which I believe are being infringed by listings on Amazon:
[Here, please list your copyright registration numbers, OR paste in images of your copyrighted designs, OR provide URLs on Zazzle or any other website that show your copyrighted designs, OR describe your copyrighted designs in words.]
Content on Amazon I want removed: I believe the following content on Amazon infringes my copyright(s):
[Here, please list the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) or the URL of each listing you claim infringes.]
I have a good faith belief that the content(s) described above violate(s) my rights described above, and that the use of such content(s) is contrary to law.
